10GB (10,000MB) Bandwidth - ANALOGY

Power House Hosting's bandwidth is "burstable" meaning, you can burst over this limit with no service interuption. The package includes 10GB but you have unlimited bursting capabilities.

We have used our site (powerhousehosting.net) for the following example to help you understand what 10GB (10,000MB) is.

Math: 1GB is roughly 1000MB

In August 2005 we had 119,415 hits on our site. This was comprised of 3326 unique visitors clicking at a rate of 160 pages per hour. And we only used 341.14 MB for August.

At this rate we could top 1.5 million hits without going over 5GB (5000MB) of bandwidth and you get double that. Please note your bandwidth starts over at 0 every month.

You will have complete bandwidth statistics in your control panel that will monitor this for you on a monthly basis.

There is no sure way to tell you exactly how much you will use until you upload all of your files and graphics to the web server and begin getting hits. files and graphics vary in size, the bigger your graphics, the faster your bandwidth is used up.

If you need more, more is available. We will NOT shut down your service if you go over the limit. If you continue to burst over the limit you may consider upgrading to avoid overage charges (very rare).
